Bowersock, Justin D

manufacturer, banker, legislator, was born Sept. 19, 1842, in Columbiana county, Ohio. He received his education in the common schools of Ohio. He has been twice mayor of Lawrence, Kas.; in 1887 was a member of the Kan. sas state house of representatives; and in 1896 became member of the state senate, and served with distinction in that body. He is one a of the most prominent business men of the west; and is president of the following institutions: Bowersock Milling company; Kansas Water Power company; Lawrence Paper company; Lawrence National bank; Lawrence Gas and Electric Light company; Commercial club; and the Consolidated Barb Wire company.
