Trimble, Lawrence S

lawyer, jurist, railroad president, congressman, was born Aug. 26, 1825, in Fleming, Ky. He was a member of the Kentucky legislature in 1851 and 1852; and was judge of the equity and criminal court of the first judicial district of the state from 1856 to 1860. From 1860 to 1865 he was president of the New Orleans and Ohio Railroad company. He was elected a representative from Kentucky to the thirty-ninth congress; and re-elected to the fortieth and forty-first congresses.
