Mason, Amistead Thomson
soldier, United States senator, was born in 1787 in Loudoun county, Va. He was a colonel in the war of 1812; and was a United States senator from Virginia from 1816 to 1817. He was killed in a duel Feb. 6, 1819, in Bladensburg, D. C.
