Langley, John Wesley
lawyer, legislator, was born Jan. 14, 1863, in Floyd county, Ky. He received his education in the Columbian, Georgetown, and the National universities of Washington, D.
C. He has been clerk in the pension and land offices; a member of the board of pension appeals of Washington, D. C.; and a delegate to the national republican convention in 1888. He has twice served as a member of the Kentucky state legislature; and was the republican nominee for speaker. In 1896 he was republican nominee for congress from his district.
He is one of the foremost lawyers and orators of Kentucky; and has a large practice in Prestonburg.
