Harris, Emmett Victor
educator, lawyer, orator, was born May 8, 1860, in Seneca county, Ohio. He received his education at the Ohio normal university; and at the national normal university, from which latter institution he received the degree of B. A. In 1880 he entered educational work; taught in graded schools of his native state; and subsequently became superintendent of public schools in Indiana. In 1889 he was admitted to the bar; and entered the active practice of law in Fort Wayne, Ind. He has filled numerous public positions of trust; received the nomination for prosecuting attorney; and has gained a good reputation as a brilliant public speaker.
