Anderson, Jerome A

surgeon, lecturer, poet, was born July 25, 1849, in Randolph county, Ind. In 1857 he removed to Kansas, and at the age of sixteen was a member of the Kansas troops in the Price raid of the late civil war.

In 1872 he removed to California. After graduating, Mr. Anderson served one year as surgeon on the Pacific mail steamer, and has practiced medicine continually since. He is at present editing a department of Oriental Literature in the Golden Era of San Diego, being also engaged in writing and lecturing upon Theosophy.
