Henry, Caleb Sprague

clergyman, author, was born Aug. 2, 1804, in Rutland, Mass. He was an episcopal clergyman of New York and Connecticut who held professorships in several colleges, and was at one time a journalist in New York city. He was the author of Moral and Philosophical Essays; Satan as a Moral Philosopher; About Men and Things; Dr. Oldham at Greystones and his Talk There; Social Welfare and Human Progress; Household Liturgy; The Endless Future of the Human Race; and Epitome of the History of Philosophy.
