Webb, Nathan
lawyer, jurist, state legislator, was born May 7, 1825, in Portland, Maine. He was a representative in the Maine state legislature in 1864 and 1865. He was elected county attorney of Cumberland county in 1865; and reelected in 1868. In 1870 he resigned the county attorneyship to accept the appointment of United States district attorney for Maine; and was reappointed in 1874, and again in 1878. In 1882 he was appointed United States district judge for the district of Maine.
