Webb, Jonathan Nelson
clergyman, was born Jan. 14, 1811, in Brownville, N. Y. For sixty-three years he was actively engaged as a baptist clergyman, and filled pastorates in various states and territories. He received his education at the Madison university of Hamilton, N. Y., the same institution as is now known as the Colgate university. He has been a general missionary and district secretary of the American Baptist Home Missionary society in Nebraska and Southwestern Dakota; and for fifteen years has filled pastorates in the baptist denomination of Missouri.
