Puffer, Reuben
clergyman, author, was born Jan. 7, 1756, in Sudbury, Mass. In 1781 he became pastor of the congregational church in Berlin, which charge he held till his death. He published an election sermon; Dudleian Lecture at Harvard; an Address; Convention Sermon; and Two Sermons. He died April 9, 1829, in Berlin, Mass.
PUGH, MRS. ELIZA LOFTON (PHIL- LIPS)-ARRIA-author, was born in 1841 in Louisiana. She is a novelist of Assumption Parish, La., and the author of Not a Hero; and In a Crucible.
