Pendleton, Nathaniel

soldier, lawyer, jurist, was born in 1756, in Culpeper county, Va. He entered the revolutionary army at nineteen years of age, served with the rank of major on the staff of General Nathaniel Greene, and received the thanks of congress for his gallantry at Eutaw. He afterward settled in Georgia, and became United States district judge. He died Oct. 20, 1821, in New York city.

PENDLETON, NATHANIEL GREENE, lawyer, state senator, congressman, was born in August, 1793, in Savannah, Ga.

In 1825 he was elected to the senate of Ohio, and was re-elected. He was a representative in congress from Ohio from 1841 to 1843.
