Prickett, Jacob P

journalist, poet, was born May 10, 1836, in Benton, Ind.

He is the editor of the Albion New Era of his native state, and is the author of a number of poems.

PRIDEMORE, AUBURN LORENZO, soldier, lawyer, state legislator, congressman, was born June 27, 1837, in Scott county, Va. He was elected to the Virginia assembly in 1865, but the close of the war annulled the election. He practiced law in Jonesville, Va.; was a state senator from 1871 to 1875, and was elected a representative from Virginia to the forty-fifth congress as a democrat.
