Peed, Henry A
journalist, state. senator, was born Nov. 9, 1846, in Plymouth, Ind. In 1872 he was elected by his party to represent his district in the Indiana state legislature, serving at both the special and regular sessions during the term. He was also a member of the committee on ways and means. In 1874 he was elected to the senate from his district, consisting of the counties of Martin, Dubois, and Orange, and served four years. At the session of 1875 he was an active member of the judiciary committee, and in 1877 was appointed chairman of the committee on railroads.
