Parsons, Charles Wesley

orator, clergyman, was born Jan. 7, 1851, in Otsego county, N. Y. He received his education at the Cazenovia seminary; the Wyoming Conference seminary of Kingston, Pa.; and the Drew Theological seminary of Madison, N. J. He has attained distinction as a brilliant orator, and as one of the leading clergymen of the methodist episcopal church. He has filled pastorates in Fairfield, Gouverneur, Watertown, and Rome, N. Y.; in Kansas City, Mo.; Newark, N. J.; Brooklyn, N. Y.; and is now pastor of the Chestnut Street church of Portland, Maine.
