Northrup, Ansel Judd
lawyer, jurist, author, was born June 30, 1833, in Smithfield, N. Y. In 1870 he was appointed United States circuit court commissioner, and soon afterward became United States examiner in equity. During 1882-94 he was county judge of Onondaga, N. Y. He is the author of Camps and Tramps in the Adirondacks; and Sconset Cottage Life, a Summer on Nantucket Island.
NORTHRUP, GEORGE WASHINGTON, clergyman, educator, was born Oct. 15, 1826, in Antwerp, N. Y. In 1858 he was called to the professorship of church history in the Rochester seminary, and in 1867 he became president of Chicago Baptist Theological seminary, Morgan Park.
