Mcgloin, Frank
soldier, journalist, lawyer, jurist, author, poet, was born Feb. 22, 1846, in Ireland. In 1880 he was elected a judge of the court of appeals of New Orleans; and in 1884 was re-elected to the same position. He is the author of A Romance of the East; and a poem entitled Conquest of Europe.
McGLYNN, EDWARD, clergyman, was born Sept. 27, 1837, in New York city.
For many years he has been pastor of St.
Stephen's church in New York city; and was subsequently excommunicated. 1887 he was one of the founders of the Anti-Poverty society, of which he became president.
