artist, was born June 9, 1858, in Ellicottville, N.

Y. In 1882 she exhibited eighteen sketches of Colorado scenery, which were received with much favor. She also illustrated and arranged One Year's Sketch-Book; The Message of the Blue-Bird; Nature's Hallelujah; and A Bunch of Violets. JERVEY, MRS. CAROLINE H- (GILMAN) (GLOVER), author, poet, was born in 1823 in South Carolina. She was a writer of fiction and occasional verse, and the author of Vernon Grove; and Helen Courtenay's Promise. She died in 1877.
