Hutchinson, Charles L

banker, was born March 7, 1854, in Lynn, Mass.

He has been president of the Corn Exchange bank since its reorganization in 1879, and is ex-president of the Chicago Board of Trade. He was a director of the World's Columbian exposition. The Art institute, of which he has been president for fourteen years, is the apple of his eye.

Much of his time has been given to this institution and probably no one else has done so much for its development and advancement.

HUTCHINSON, ELLEN MACKAY, journalist, author, poet, was born in New York. She is a literary journalist of New York city, on the Tribune staff, and editor with E. C. Stedman of The Library of American Literature, in eleven volumes.

She has published Songs and Lyrics.
