Hermann, Binger
lawyer, banker, congressman, was born Feb. 19, 1843, in Lonaconing, Md. He was elected a representative in the Oregon state legislature in 1866; and was state senator in 1868. In 1871 he was appointed United States receiver of public moneys at Roseburg, Ore. In 1882 he was appointed judge advocate of the state militia with the rank of colonel. In 1884 he was elected a representative from Oregon to the fortyninth congress; and was re-elected to the fiftieth, fifty-first, fifty-second, fifty-third, and fifty-fourth congresses as a republican.
