HELFENSTEIN, JOHN CONRAD AL- BERT, clergyman, author, was born Feb. born Feb. 16, 1748, in Germany. In 1772 he took charge of a congregation in Germantown, in Germantown, and was one of the fathers of the Gerof the German reformed church in this country.
Several small volumes of his sermons have been published. He died May 17, May 17, 1790, in Germantown, Pa.
