Heiges, George W

lawyer, legislator, was born May 18, 1842, in Dillsburg , Pa. He received his education at the Cumberland Valley Normal school of Newville, Pa.; the normal school of his native city; the York County academy; and from private tutors in French and German.

Since 1867 he has been a member of the York bar, and member of the bars of the supreme a and superior courts of Pennsylvania. In 1873-74 he was a member of the Pennsylvania house of representatives; and in 1885-86 was the last chief burgess of York borough. In 1891 he was one of the four delegates from his county to the constitutional convention.
