Harwood, Watson H

physician, surgeon, genealogist, was born June 18, 1854, in Bangor, N. Y. He attended the Normal school of Oswego; and in 1881 graduated from the medical department of the university of Vermont. He at once began the practice of his profession at Chasm Falls, N. Y., and has attained prominence as one of the leading physicians of his state. He is the author of a genealogical Record of the Harwood Families. He began compiling the record of his family a quarter of a century ago; and has always taken great interest in historical and genealogical studies. He has been prominently identified with the prohibition party; and takes a leading part in the public affairs of his county and state.
