Hebard, William
lawyer, jurist, legislator, congressman, was born in Connecticut. He settled in Vermont; and was elected a representative in congress from that state from 1849 to 1853. He was judge of the supreme court from 1842 to 1845; and judge of probate for seven years. He served seven years in the two houses of the legislature; and was two years attorney for Orange county.
HEBBARD, STEPHEN SOUTHWICK, clergyman, author, was born in 1841. He is a universalist clergyman; and the author of The Secret of Christianity; and History of Wisconsin under the Dominion of France.
