Hall, Thomas Augustus

soldier, journalist, legislator, jurist, was born Aug. 26, 1847, in Telfair county, Ga. During the war he served as orderly sergeant of company E, sixth battalion Georgia artillery in the confederate service. He has filled numerous offices of public trust; was democratic member of the Florida state legislature in 1883 from Madison county, and was a member of the Madison county school board. He is now serving with distinction a second term as county judge of Nassau county, Fla., his term expiring in 1901. He is also the editor and owner of the Florida Mirror of Fernandina, Fla.
