GOODRICH, CHARLES AUGUSTUS, clergyman, author, was born in 1790 in Ridgefield, Conn. He was a congregational clergyman of Hartford, and the author of Lives of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence; History of the United States; View of Religions; Family Tourist; Great Events of American History; Outlines of Geography; and Universal Traveler. He died Jan. 4, 1862, in Hartford, Conn.
