Garvin, T. M

lawyer, legislator, was born Aug. 1, 1854, in Ohio county, W. Va.

After receiving his education in Cleveland, Ohio, he studied Spanish in Phillippe's College of Languages of San Francisco, Cal . He was one of the organizers of the West Virginia Bar association. He has compiled and published a book containing all the commercial laws of the states and territories; and for the past ten years has delivered lectures each week to the students of the Wheeling Business college on commercial and international law. In 1896 he was elected a member of the West Virginia state legislature, and served with distinction in that body.
