Eddy, John H
geographer, was born in 1782. He published a circular map of the country for thirty miles around New York in 1814; a map of the western part of New York; a map to illustrate the communication between Lake Erie and the Hudson; and a map of the state of New York; and was engaged on a general atlas of America at the time of his death. He died Dec. 22, 1817.
EDDY, MRS. MARY BAKER GLOVER, author. She is a resident of Concord, N. H., widely known as the founder of the sect of Christian Scientists.
Besides Christian Science; Science and Health, she has published a number of pamphlets on the general subject of Christian Science. She has lectured extensively throughout the United States on Christian Science; and has also contributed extensively to current publications on that subject.
