Doster, Charles S. G

soldier, lawyer, legislator, was born Aug. 21, 1830, in Autauga county, Ala. He received his education at the East Tennessee university, and graduated irom the Centenary college, Louisiana. He served during the war as colonel of the reserves; and was militia colonel before the war. He was county superintendent of education for eight years; a representative in the Alabama state legislature for four years; and state senator for four years. Since 1850 he has practiced law with success, and is still engaged in that profession in Prattville, Ala.
