Davis, David (Vocalist composer was born May)
vocalist, composer, was born May 3, 1855, in South Wales. About 1881 he established himself as a teacher of singing in Cincinnati, Ohio, in which city he has ever since been choirmaster of St. Paul's Protestant Episcopal church.
He has also been tenor of the Plum street Jewish synagogue; tenor of the Scottish Rite choir; director of the Welsh Choral society, and director of the Cambrian Male chorus. He has appeared in numerous concerts in London and in many of the principal cities of the United States.
