Boyce, William W
lawyer, congressman, was born Oct. 24, 1819, in Charleston, S. C. He was a member of the legislature of South Carolina in 1842; and was a representative in congress from 1853 to 1860, when he resigned. He took part in the rebellion as a member of the confederate congress. When re-elected to the thirty-sixth congress he served as a member of the committee on elections, and at the time of his leaving congress was a member of the committee of thirty-three on the rebellious states.
