Bouck, Gabriel

soldier, lawyer, legislator, congressman, was born Dec. 16, 1828, in Fulton, N. Y. He was attorneygeneral of the state of Wisconsin in 1858- 59; and was a representative in the state legislature in 1860. He entered the union army in 1861 and rose to the rank of colonel. He was a delegate to the democratic national conventions of 1868 and 1872; was again a member of the assembly in 1874, and was speaker. He was elected a representative from Wisconsin to the forty-fifth and forty-sixth congresses.
