Bartley, Elias Hudson

chemist, author, was born Dec. 6, 1849, in Bartleyville, N. J. In 1882 he was appointed chief chemist to the health department, Brooklyn. He is also consulting sanitarian to the hospital for nervous diseases, and visiting physician to the sheltering arms nursery. Dr. Bartley is a member of numerous medical and other scientific societies, and president of the American Society of Public Analysts. He has contributed several articles to Wood's Household Practice of Medicine; and is the author of A Text-Book of Medical Chemistry.
