Barron, John C
surgeon, capitalist, was born Nov. 2, 1837, in Woodbridge, N. J. Returning to civil life at the end of his enlistment, he became a member and surgeon of the famous seventh regiment of New York city from 1863 to 1871, and after his resignation he was appointed surgeon-general of the first division of the national guard of New York, with the rank of colonel. He is president of The Carpenter Steel works of Reading, Pa.; The Kentucky Coal, Iron and Development company; The Lyons and Campbell Ranch and Cattle company, and The Gila Farm company.
