Willard, Horace Birney

physician, legislator, poet, was born May 2, 1825, in Volney, N. Y. He graduated in 1849, from the Geneva Medical college, and for twenty years practiced medicine with success, which profession failing health compelled him to abandon. He served several years in the county board of supervisors; one year as mayor Fort Atkinson; and in 1861 served with distinction as a member of the Wisconsin legislature. Mr. Willard has been often called to other places of public trust and responsibility. He is now vicepresident of the Citizen's State bank at Fort Atkinson, Wis., where he now resides. of
