White, Shubbel F
soldier, lawyer, legislator, jurist, was born June 17, 1841, in Marshall, Mich. He attended Olivet college; graduated in 1864 from the university of Michigan; and from the Albany Law school three years later. During the war he was captain of company A, twenty-eighth regiment Michigan volunteer infantry. In 1873-74 he was circuit judge; and in 1883 served with distinction as state senator in the Michigan state legislature. He is now one of the foremost lawyers of Minnesota at Duluth; and takes a prominent part in public and political affairs.
