Warner, Lucien Calvin

manufacturer, philanthropist, was born Oct. 26, 1841, in Cuyler, N. Y. Warner Bros. employ about 2,000 operatives in their large factory in Bridgeport and enjoy an enormous sale of their productions. He is an interested member of the chamber of commerce of New York. He gave a $100,000 building to his alma mater at Oberlin for a conservatory of music; was active and liberal in the erection of a $150,000 building for the Harlem branch of the Young Men's Christian association; and in partnership with his brother, has built an admirable club house in Bridgeport, Conn., at a cost of $100,000, for the use of the girls in the employment of the firm.
