Wallace, William A
lawyer, congressman, United States senator, was born Nov. 28, 1827, in Clearfield, Pa. In 1862 he was elected to the Pennsylvania state senate, and served by re-elections until 1871, when he was made speaker of that body. He was elected a senator in congress for the term commencing in 1875, and ending in 1881.
WALLACE, WILLIAM COPELAND, lawyer, congressman, was born May 21, 1856, in Brooklyn, N. Y. He was assistant United States attorney for the southern district of New York in 1880-83, and was elected to the fifty-first congress as a republican.
