Waldo, Lorin P
lawyer, jurist, state legislator, congressman, was born Feb. 2, 1802, in Canterbury, Conn. He was state's attorney for Connecticut from 1837 to 1849; and was for two years judge of the court of probate in his district, and six years a member of the legislature of his state. In 1849 he was elected to the thirty-first congress; and in 1852 was elected commissioner of the school fund of Connecticut. In 1853 he was appointed commissioner of pensions. In 1855 he was elected to the office of judge of the supreme court.
