Tucker, William Jewett

clergyman, college president, author, was born July 12, 1839, in Griswold, Conn. He was professor in Andover Theological seminary in 1879-93, and has been president of Dartmouth college from 1893. He is the author of The New Movement in Humanity.

TUCKERMAN, ARTHUR LYMAN, architect, author, was born in 1861 in New York. He is an architect of New York city, superintendent of the Metropolitan Museum Art schools in 1888; and the author of A Short History of Architecture. He died in 1892.
