Taylor, Alfred
clergyman, author, was born in 1831 in Philadelphia, Pa. He is a presbyterian clergyman of Philadelphia; and the author of Peeps at Our Sunday Schools; Sunday School Photographs; and Hints about Sunday School Work.
ALFRED TAYLOR, ALEXANDER, lawyer, congressman, was born in 1849 near Elizabethton, Tenn. He was elected to the Tennessee legislature in 1875 from Carter and Johnson counties. He was elected to the fifty-first and fifty-second and re-elected to the fifty-third congress as a republican.
TAYLOR, ARCHIBALD ALEXANDER EDWARD, journalist, educator, college president, author, was born Aug. 27, 1834, in Springfield, Ohio. From 1873 till 1883 he was president of Wooster university, Ohio. He continued to be connected with the institution as professor of logic and political economy and dean of the postgraduate department for five years longer. He then became editor of The Mid-Continent, the organ of the presbyterian church in the southwest, published in St. Louis, Mo.
