Stille, George Nelson
journalist, public official, was born April 26, 1857, in Bethel, Ohio. He learned the printing business, and is now the editor and part owner of The Republican of Unionville, Mo. He has been sheriff of Putnam county fortwo terms; postmaster of his city; and in 1896 was nominee for railroad and warehouse commissioner of the state of Missouri. He has served on county, congressional and state committees; has been a delegate to two national republican conventions, and several state and congressional conventions. He is prominent in fraternal orders, and in the public affairs of his city, county and state.
