Sprague, William Buell

clergyman, author, was born Oct. 16, 1795, in Andover, Conn. He was a presbyterian clergyman of Albany whose Annals of the American Pulpit in ten volumes is the work by which he is best known. Other works of his include, Letters to a Daughter; The Daughter's Own Book; Letters from Europe; Letters on Revivals; True Christianity, and Other Systems; Life of Edward Dorr Griffin; Letters to Young Men; Women of the Bible; Visits to European Celebrities; Life of Jedediah Morse; and Aids to Early Religion. He died May 7, 1876, in Flushing, N. Y.
