He is the author of Library of Choice Literature; and Library of Historical Characters. SPOFFORD, MRS. HARRIET ELIZA- BETH [PRESCOTT], author, poet, was born April 3, 1835, in Calais, Maine. She is a novelist and poet of Newburyport.
