Schulze, John Andrew

governor, was born July 19, 1775, in Tulpehocken, Pa. In 1823 he was elected governor of Pennsylvania, serving until 1829. He died Nov. 18, 1852, in Lancaster, Pa.

SCHUMACHER, JAMES MADISON, banker, state senator, was born Nov. 18, 1843, in Mohawk, N. Y. For one term he was a member of the Florida state senate. In 1890-93 he was president of the State Bankers' association; was president of the Jacksonville and Atlantic railroad; and was vice-president of the Maine Street Electric railroad.
