Rollins, James Sidney

lawyer, state senator, congressman, was born April 19, 1812, in Richmond, Ky. In 1838 he was elected to the Missouri state legislature, and was re-elected in 1840 and 1842. In 1846 he was elected to the state senate, serving four years; and in 1854 was again elected to the legislature. In 1860 he was elected a representative from Missouri to the thirty-seventh congress; and in 1862 was re-elected to the thirtyeighth congress. He died Nov. 9, 1888, near Columbia, Mo.
