Poole, Murray Edward
lawyer, author, was born July 17, 1857, in Centre Moreland, Pa. He attended the Wyoming seminary, and in 1880 graduated from the Cornell university with the degree of A. B. In 1889 he was admitted to the bar; and the same year was appointed special county judge by Governor David B. Hill. He is the author of the History of Edward Poole of Weymouth, Mass.; and His Descendants; and has contributed to several cyclopedias and numerous leading newspapers and magazines. He is a member of the American Historical association, the American Bar association, Society of the Sons of the Revolution, Society of Colonial Wars, Military Society of Foreign Wars, Society of the War of 1812, and over eighty other historical and learned societies in the United States and foreign countries.
