Piatt, Louise Kirby
author, was born Nov. 25, 1826, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She accompanied her husband to Europe when he was appointed secretary of legation, and contributed letters to the Home Journal, which were afterward published in book-form as Bell Smith Abroad. She died Oct. 2, 1864.
PIATT, MRS. SARAH MORGAN (BRY- AN), poet, was born Aug. 11, 1836, in Lexington, Ky. She is a noted poet, and is the author of A Woman's Poems; A Voyage to the Fortunate Isles, and Other Poems; That New World, and Other Poems; Dramatic Persons and Moods; An Irish Garland; In Primrose Time; The Witch in the Glass Complete Poems (1894); An Enchanted Castle; and Child's World Ballads.
