Pattison, John M

soldier, lawyer, state senator, congressman, was born June 13, 1847, in Clermont county, Ohio. He was elected to the Ohio state legislature from Hamilton county in 1873; and was attorney for the committee of safety of Cincinnati in 1874-76. He was elected vice-president and manager of the Union Central Life Insurance company of Cincinnati in 1881 and president in 1891. He was elected state senator to fill a vacancy in 1890; and was elected to the fifty-second congress as a democrat.
