Parrett, William F
lawyer, jurist, was born Aug. 10, 1825, in Blairsville, Ind. In 1858 he was elected to the Indiana legislature and served during the general and special sessions; in 1859 was appointed judge of the fifteenth circuit, to which position he was elected for six years at the election following his appointment; and after his election he returned to Evansville, where he has since resided. In 1865 he was re-elected for a term of six years. In 1873 he was appointed judge of the first circuit, and was elected to the same position; and twice re-elected, 1879 and 1884. He was elected to the fifty-first congress; and re-elected to the fifty-second congress as a democrat.
