Osborn, John E

physician, legislator, congressman, governor, was born June 9, 1858, in Westport, N. Y. He was elected in 1883 to the Wyoming territorial legislature, and in 1888 was elected mayor of the city of Rawlins. In 1892 he was elected governor of Wyoming, and at the expiration of his official term as governor he was unanimously renominated by his party for a second term, but owing to important business engagements declined the honor. He was elected to the fiftyfifth congress as a democrat.
